About the position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in managing office functions and supporting staff. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient office workflows and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage general ledger accounting, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Assist in corporate accounting tasks, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation for governmental accounting requirements.
  • Utilize Xero software for accounting tasks, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Perform clerical duties such as 10 key typing, filing, and data entry as needed.
  • Support the team by coordinating office activities and managing supplies inventory.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an office management role with a focus on accounting functions.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with financial report writing and analysis is essential.
  • Familiarity with balance sheet reconciliation processes is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in payroll management and corporate accounting practices.
  • Excellent clerical skills, including 10 key typing accuracy and speed.
  • Experience with governmental accounting is a plus but not required.
  • Proficient in using Xero or similar accounting software is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
