About the position

Kaiser Consulting is seeking a part-time Bookkeeping Consultant to join our team in Columbus, OH. As a Bookkeeping Consultant, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining all bookkeeping functions for our clients. This includes implementing bookkeeping best practices, identifying and implementing business process improvements, and developing thorough documentation and deliverables. You will also participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field. Our ideal candidate is someone who possesses a high degree of technical competency and can work both independently and as part of a team. You should have a proven track record of leadership experience, confidence, and decisiveness. We are looking for problem solvers who are self-motivated and highly organized. The role requires strong time management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. You will need to be comfortable with accounting software, such as QuickBooks, and have a high level of accuracy in recording business transactions, processing information, and reconciling accounts. Responsibilities

  • Planning, executing and maintaining all bookkeeping functions for clients

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent job experience
  • Seven plus years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • In-depth understanding of core bookkeeping functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks
  • A high level of accuracy in recording business transactions, processing information and reconciling accounts
  • Comfort with asking questions to get answers
  • Capacity to adapt to new and changing technology and software
  • Ability to make progress in ill-defined and unclear projects
  • Enjoys challenges and can persevere
