About the position

Eurest is hiring immediately for a part-time Bookkeeper position located at Hologic, 10210 Genetic Center Drive, San Diego, CA 92121. This role is essential for maintaining a complete and systematic set of records of business transactions for the assigned business unit. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for verifying, allocating, and posting business transaction details to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from various documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, unit reports, check stubs, and computer printouts. The position requires summarizing details in separate ledgers or computer files and transferring data to the general ledger. Additionally, the Bookkeeper will reconcile and balance accounts, compile records to show statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other pertinent items related to the operation of the business. The role also involves calculating associate wages from time cards, submitting payroll registers for payment, and following up to resolve any payroll issues. The Bookkeeper will prepare tax reports, compute, type, and mail monthly statements to customers, and complete records to or through trial balances. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. The position is part-time, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and offers a pay range of $21.00 to $22.00 per hour. While two years of previous experience with Microsoft Office products is preferred, the company is willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Two years of previous experience with Microsoft Office products is preferred.
