About the position

The Bookkeeper/Payroll Professional position at Campbell & CO CPAs is a part-time, contract role focused on maintaining accurate financial records and providing essential accounting support, particularly in payroll preparation. The ideal candidate will work approximately 20-25 hours per week in a flexible schedule, contributing to the firm's commitment to exceptional financial services for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile clients' financial records, including general ledger accounts
  • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions accurately and timely
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed
  • Prepare and process client payroll and related filings
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address any inquiries or issues related to their accounts

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a CPA firm or accounting environment
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Adhere to a consistent and reliable work schedule

Nice-to-haves

  • Optional - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Previous bookkeeping/payroll experience
