About the position

The Bookkeeper Specialist is responsible for managing cash functions at CFR, including deposits, financial reporting, patient audits, and developing cash controls. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to maintain compliance with financial procedures.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cash functions at CFR.
• Prepare daily deposits for assigned departments.
• Prepare daily reports for the accounting department.
• Audit unapplied accounts for posting accuracy.
• Reconcile daily cash reports from departments.
• Maintain daily and monthly logs for departments.
• Maintain the petty cash fund.
• Process return checks.
• Work with the refund specialist to ensure timely processing of refunds.
• Answer incoming calls and greet visitors to the department.
• Maintain a tracking system for assigned areas and report performance results.
• Monitor accounts receivable for compliance to contract.
• Monitor and report issues of compliance and perform necessary research to resolve and implement changes.

Requirements

• Previous medical billing experience preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
