Responsibilities

• Post transactions to the general ledger
• Reconcile bank accounts, loans, credit cards, PayPal, etc.
• Be familiar with E-commerce platforms such as PayPal, Shopify, Square, etc.
• Prepare payroll and remit payroll taxes
• Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reports, closings and adjustments
• Prepare journal entries
• Record fixed assets and depreciation
• Prepare sales tax returns for multiple states
• Communicate with clients on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis via e-mail, phone, and in person
• Assist with client onboarding
• Do clean-up and catch-up bookkeeping
• Prepare Federal and State income tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S)
• Assemble completed tax returns
• Consult with management when needed

Requirements

• 1 year experience using QuickBooks Online and must be willing to become a Certified QBO ProAdvisor within 1 year
• Experience using e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, PayPal, etc.
• Experience using tax software, specifically Drake Software
• Knowledge of bookkeeping, debits and credits, and journal entries
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel including creating forms, using formulas, and sorting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with impeccable spelling and grammar
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask
