About the position

The Bookkeeper at New Cast Stone in Lindon, Utah, is responsible for producing accurate and reliable accounting reports for senior management. The role focuses on ensuring timely monthly closings, improving accounts receivable and payable processes, and managing payroll. The Bookkeeper will work closely with senior management to enhance financial operations and maintain compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile all financial transactions and complete monthly accounting reports by the 5th of each month.
• Reduce outstanding accounts receivable from 20% over 90 days to ensure no invoices remain unpaid for over 60 days by December 31, 2025.
• Increase accounts payable days from 15 to 20 days for invoices without early payment discounts by December 31, 2025.
• Finalize and process payroll bi-monthly, ensuring compliance with wage regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, with a track record of closing books and managing AR/AP processes.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and experience with payroll processing.
• Highly organized, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a construction or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
