The Bookkeeper position at MBE CPAs is a vital role within the Client Accounting Services (CAS) team, focusing on delivering comprehensive bookkeeping, payroll, and QuickBooks support to a diverse client base. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing full charge bookkeeping services, which includes managing multiple clients' financial records using QuickBooks. This role requires a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and the ability to ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations. The Bookkeeper will also process payroll, including direct deposits, and generate necessary financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and year-end basis. In addition to bookkeeping, the role involves offering QuickBooks support and consulting services, which may include training clients on how to effectively manage their financial records within the software. The Bookkeeper will assist clients in catching up on their financial activities throughout the year to facilitate the preparation of tax returns. Responsibilities

  • Provide full charge bookkeeping services to multiple clients using QuickBooks.
  • Process payrolls including direct deposits and generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end statements.
  • Offer QuickBooks support and consulting, including training clients on managing their records in QuickBooks as needed.
  • Assist clients in catching up on their financial activity to produce tax returns.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of generally accepted principles of accounting.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in QuickBooks software.
  • Two-year Associate Degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent level of bookkeeping experience.
  • Accounting/bookkeeping experience in a business or CPA firm setting desired.
  • Comfortable working daily in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Oral and written communication skills to support building client relationships.
