The Bookkeeper position at Springer School and Center is a vital role that supports the Vice President of Finance and the Business Manager in various accounting and project-related tasks. This position is anticipated to start in July or August 2024 and is located in Cincinnati's Hyde Park neighborhood. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. In this position, the Bookkeeper will assist with general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and journal entries. They will produce income statements and balance sheets, prepare and review financial reports, and assist with both internal and external audits. The Bookkeeper will also perform month-end and year-end closing functions, as well as manage accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks as needed. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with account reconciliation and accounting software.
  • Experience in financial statement preparation.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Experience with the annual review or audit process.
