About the position

The position involves assisting the accountant with various record-keeping and bookkeeping tasks. The individual will be responsible for compiling and retrieving statistics, managing bank account functions, overseeing inventory, and performing special tasks and assignments as required by management. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring that all accounting processes are followed correctly. The candidate will work closely with the accounting team to ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, as well as a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all financial dealings.

Responsibilities

  • Keep records, statistics, and books relating to accounting.
  • Handle TMNF-HO and US bank accounts.
  • Prepare bank/account reconciliations.
  • Enter check requisitions and issue expense checks.
  • Mail expense checks and file check copies.
  • Handle all supplies ordering and inventory control.
  • Handle file destruction.
  • Install/De-install ergonomic medications.
  • Handle various administrative projects.
  • Audit accounting copies of indemnity checks.

Requirements

  • Experience in bookkeeping and accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and spreadsheets.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with bank account management.
  • Experience in inventory control and supply management.
  • Knowledge of ergonomic equipment and installations.
