About the position

We are seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team in Carlsbad, California. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Carry out bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Maintain an organized and streamlined accounting system
  • Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors
  • Conduct regular ledger maintenance
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
  • Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
  • Interact with customers and manage customer inquiries effectively.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a bookkeeper role or similar
  • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
  • Demonstrated experience in bank reconciliations
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of bookkeeping procedures
  • Excellent data entry skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in payroll processing and management
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar financial management software
  • Proficiency in credit card reconciliation, with a focus on identifying and resolving discrepancies.
