About the position

Advantage Resourcing is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our client's collaborative team in West Monroe, LA. This direct-hire position is ideal for a meticulous and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as HR onboarding. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial data and compliance with relevant regulations, while also contributing to the onboarding process for new employees. In this role, you will maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations. You will process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions. Additionally, you will prepare financial reports, statements, and budgets as required, assist in the preparation of tax returns, and conduct regular audits to ensure financial integrity and accuracy. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating and managing the onboarding process for new employees, which involves preparing onboarding materials, conducting orientation sessions, and serving as a point of contact for new hires. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be collaborating with HR and management to continuously improve the onboarding process. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR and management to continuously improve the onboarding process.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Previous experience in HR onboarding, including knowledge of best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial and personnel information.
