About the position

The Bookkeeper will maintain financial records for the company by recording transactions, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. This role is critical in providing accurate financial data to support the company's decision-making process and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the accounting department.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal departments or external clients regarding financial matters.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with management to prepare budgets and forecasts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within corporate accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP principles, Excel and QuickBooks.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Quicken, or similar applications.
  • Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and account reconciliation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
