About the position
Spark Electric Inc. is seeking a bilingual, detail-oriented, and motivated individual to join our accounting team as a Bookkeeper. In this role, you will support the finance department with various accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and budget tracking, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents
- Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy
- Conduct audits and assist in audit preparations as needed
- Support in budgeting and forecasting activities
Requirements
- Bilingual (Spanish and English)
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Motivation to learn and work as part of a team
- Previous experience in accounting (preferred but not required)
- CPA certification (or working towards certification)
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Experience in industry or specialized area, e.g., nonprofit, corporate finance
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Microsoft Office (1 year preferred)
- Customer Service experience (1 year preferred)
