About the position

The Bookkeeper position at Alicante Workforce Solutions involves managing financial records and supporting the accounting team. The role requires a motivated individual with bookkeeping experience to handle various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Processing payments, invoices, income, and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases then filing hard copies
  • Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
  • Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the Accountant of errors
  • Recording any inconsistencies to help the Accountants reconcile inaccuracies
  • Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
  • Preparing employee wages
  • Managing employee expense claims
  • Helping the Accountant with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts
  • Maintaining regular contact with clients via phone, email, and text to provide updates, address inquiries, and ensure satisfaction with the company.

Requirements

  • 3 years of bookkeeping experience
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • Proficiency with bookkeeping software
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with 'The Construction Manager' software
