About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team at Worldwide Heart to Heart Ministries. This part-time position involves managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounts, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in various accounting software, while also aligning with the organization's Christian values.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records by recording day-to-day transactions and completing the posting process.
  • Perform account analysis to ensure that entries are accurate and complete.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.
  • Assist in budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and insights.
  • Prepare tax documents and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, LGL, Microsoft apps: Word, Excel, One Drive and Teams, as well as Stripe for efficient record-keeping.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and other financial accounts.
  • Support governmental accounting practices as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, LGL, Microsoft apps: Word, Excel, One Drive and Teams, as well as Stripe for efficient record-keeping.
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Must be comfortable with technology (printers, computers, telephones etc.).
  • Customer service experience is encouraged.
