About the position

St. Nicholas Academy, a Catholic community dedicated to nurturing compassion and embracing diversity, is seeking a full-time, experienced Bookkeeper. This role is essential for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded correctly and timely. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for paying invoices and providing accurate financial information to both the Pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the Principal of St. Nicholas Academy. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. In addition to general bookkeeping duties, the individual will oversee all aspects of payroll and benefits administration, ensuring that all employees are compensated accurately and on time. The Bookkeeper will also coordinate licenses and maintain records and reports for all charitable gaming events, as well as manage the financial aspects of alcohol sales. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of the ParishSOFT accounting software or a willingness to learn this system to effectively manage the financial operations of the academy.
