About the position

The part-time Bookkeeper at JT Custom Builders will manage the day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accurate recording, organization, and reporting of financial data. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth financial operation of the business, requiring a detail-oriented and highly organized individual who can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Record and categorize financial transactions in QuickBooks Online.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other accounts monthly.
• Assist with processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
• Assist in the payroll process, including reconciling payroll reports and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Track and manage job-specific costs for project profitability reporting.
• Collaborate with the management team to support budget tracking and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
• Experience in the construction or remodeling industry is required.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors.
