The Bookkeeper position is a unique dual role that provides essential accounting support while also managing daily office operations at the Mitchell, SD location. As a Bookkeeper, the individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial record keeping, ensuring accuracy in financial statements, and maintaining assembly sheets, daily reports, account transfers, and billing. The role also involves processing incoming inventory into the accounting system, invoicing completed orders, applying payments on customer accounts, scanning expense invoices, and entering customer prepayments. Additionally, the Bookkeeper will maintain awareness of the location's accounts receivable, monitor and post monthly credit reports, and compile daily bank deposits. The position requires managing daily office operations, verifying employee timecards, maintaining office equipment, ordering supplies, and handling phone inquiries. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Managing all aspects of financial record keeping and ensuring accuracy in financial statements, including maintaining assembly sheets, daily reports, account transfers and billing.
  • Processing incoming inventory into the accounting system, invoicing out completed orders and delivery tickets, applying payments on customer accounts, scanning expense invoices and coding in accounting system, and entering customer prepayments.
  • Maintaining awareness of the location's accounts receivable including monitoring and posting a monthly no-credit and over-limit credit report and compiling daily bank deposits.
  • Managing daily office operations and ensuring a smooth workflow, verifying employee timecards for manager approval, maintaining office equipment, ordering office supplies, and answering the telephone.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • English Proficiency
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts.

Nice-to-haves
