About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage our bookkeeping needs, including all aspects of accounting and payroll. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Perform multiple bank reconciliations and maintain accurate record-keeping.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Assist with the month-end close process to ensure accuracy in financial statements.
  • Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Handle various banking tasks as required.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with Xero is REQUIRED.
  • Previous bookkeeping experience is a must.
  • Construction experience mandatory.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-oriented mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

  • Any additional qualifications or certifications in accounting are a plus.
