About the position

The Bookkeeper position at GoodSAM Foods is a critical role responsible for managing the financial and operational aspects of the business. This includes overseeing accounts receivable and payable, financial planning and analysis, and optimizing efficiency across the supply chain. The role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and support the company's growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cash flow, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Coordinate with external accounting firms for financial reporting and compliance.
  • Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate recording in the accounting system.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, resolving any billing discrepancies or payment issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to investigate and resolve deduction discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution and accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement procedures to streamline invoice processing and deduction management processes, improving efficiency and reducing errors.
  • Monitor aging accounts receivable and proactively follow up on outstanding customer deductions to minimize financial impact.
  • Provide sales & operations teams monthly reporting & reconciling against Quickbooks and additional analysis as needed.
  • Assist in developing and executing strategic initiatives to support company growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to align financial and operational strategies with overall business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2-5 years) in finance and operations management, preferably in the CPG industry.
  • Strong financial analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
