About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team at Flexible Consulting LLC. This part-time, contract position is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate accounting practices and proficiency in various accounting software, particularly QuickBooks Online, Sage, and Quicken.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoicing and payment tracking.
• Perform account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and maintain financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Conduct bank reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Assist with tax preparation and compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
• Utilize accounting software such as Sage and Quicken for efficient record-keeping.
• Collaborate with management to provide insights on financial performance and budgeting.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within corporate accounting.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management.
• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage and Quicken.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Solid understanding of GAAP principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and management.
