About the position

CB Accounting is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join their team in Fargo, ND. This full-time position focuses on delivering quality accounting services, maintaining client confidentiality, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping for a minimum of 30 clients. The role offers opportunities for professional development and training to help employees advance within the company.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all bookkeeping client tasks are completed with accuracy and within a timely manner
• Report to the bookkeeping manager upon completion of bookkeeping assignments
• Answer all client questions in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain a minimum of 30 bookkeeping clients
• Complete necessary annual trainings to maintain education and professional development with new trends and relevant information
• Assist and complete simple tax returns as assigned
• Maintain organized client files and always maintain client confidentiality
• Utilize firm compliant software to maximize efficiency in bookkeeping
• Complete all other office duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate's degree in accounting or business administration is preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of general accounting principles
• At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience
• Self-motivated and ability to communicate effectively with team, partners, and customers
• High school diploma
• Knowledge of bookkeeping transactions
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail and accuracy of work
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online
• Prepare, review, and understand a financial statement
• Willing to help train the right team member
• All other duties as assigned
