About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team at All Western Mortgage in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software, playing a crucial role in supporting the financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records in compliance with regulations.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Manage corporate accounting tasks including budgeting and forecasting.
• Utilize double entry bookkeeping methods to maintain accurate financial records.
• Record debits and credits accurately to reflect transactions.
• Utilize accounting software, particularly Xero, for efficient bookkeeping processes.
• Handle accounts payable by processing invoices and ensuring timely payments.
• Assist with technical accounting tasks as needed to support financial reporting.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation, payroll processing, and journal entries.
• Familiarity with corporate accounting practices and double entry bookkeeping is essential.
• Proficiency in using accounting software, especially Xero, is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of debits and credits along with technical accounting skills is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required for success in this position.
