About the position
This position requires a strong foundation in bookkeeping and accounting principles, with a focus on accounts payable and receivable, as well as journal entry creation in a general ledger. The role demands the ability to work independently while also thriving in a fast-paced team environment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential, as is the capacity to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. The candidate must be detail-oriented and analytical, capable of managing multiple projects under strict deadlines. Knowledge of local, state, and federal wage and hour laws is also necessary.
Requirements
- Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in bookkeeping and accounting concepts such as accounts payable and receivable
- Six months experience with basic office procedures
- Ability to work independently
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under strict deadlines while organizing multiple projects
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal wage and hour laws
Nice-to-haves
