About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Blue Ash, OH. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, as well as a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting overall financial operations. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. You will enter and reconcile financial transactions including sales, receipts, payments, and bank statements, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. You will also process invoices, bills, and payments in a timely manner, monitor accounts receivable aging, and follow up on overdue accounts. Managing vendor relationships and ensuring all accounts are settled promptly will be key aspects of your role. Additionally, you will prepare and process payroll, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, while maintaining payroll records and reports. Monthly reconciliation of bank statements and credit card accounts will be required, along with investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. You will perform regular general ledger entries and adjustments, assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements, and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Collaboration with the accounting team to streamline processes and improve efficiency will be essential, as well as providing support for special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Experience with payroll processing and bank reconciliation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
