About the position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is crucial for supporting our financial operations and providing insights into the company's financial health. Sage experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and maintain journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Utilize accounting software, specifically Sage, to manage financial data efficiently.
- Prepare financial reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance to ensure timely filings.
- Collaborate with external auditors during public accounting reviews and audits.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation for easy retrieval and review.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with financial software and accounting software, particularly Sage, is essential.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and journal entry management.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
