About the position

We are a local Dunkin' Baskin Robbins Franchisee with 13 locations, seeking a detail-oriented bookkeeper for our central office located in Skokie, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and will work closely with senior management to provide necessary reports and insights. The bookkeeper's primary duties will include completing daily sales reconciliations for all locations, reviewing various sales receipts including cash, credit card, gift card, and third-party sales. The role also involves recording and reviewing all financial transactions, completing journal entries, and preparing invoices as needed. Additionally, the bookkeeper will process all vendor payments, print checks, and create various reports in Excel for senior management. The position will also require submitting sales and expenses to an outside CPA firm and processing payroll through the same firm. Various administrative responsibilities will also be part of the job, making it essential for the candidate to be organized and proactive in their approach.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or accounts payable (Required).
  • Proficient in MS Office Excel and QuickBooks (Required).
  • Bachelor's degree (Preferred).
