Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for the company.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Handle payroll and ensure timely payments.
• Perform reconciliations of financial accounts.
• Support month-end closing activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Understanding of software development industry financial regulations and accounting practices.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and tax laws.
• Knowledge of project-based accounting or job costing.
• Knowledge of cloud-based accounting and financial platforms.
• Experience with advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and macros.
• Experience with financial reporting for executive teams or board members.
• Knowledge of Sales Tax processes.
