About the position

The Bookkeeper position at Genesis HealthCare is a full-time role focused on processing accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely, supporting the financial operations of the nursing center. This collaborative role involves interaction with various stakeholders, including the Nursing Home Administrator and business office colleagues, to ensure the achievement of business goals and the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Assist with census, billing, month-end related activities, collections, processing of refunds, and patient/resident trust fund transactions.
  • Complete Medical Assistance application tasks.
  • Coordinate patient/resident ancillary charges and enter them into the billing system.
  • Review patient/resident admission files for accuracy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
