About the position

We are searching for a highly capable high net worth bookkeeper proficient in QuickBooks. In this role, you will be entrusted with the task of managing and maintaining the financial records of a high net worth individual, which requires a unique skill set and comprehensive understanding of larger scale personal finances. This position demands a meticulous approach to bookkeeping, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. You will be responsible for handling day-to-day bookkeeping operations, which includes tracking income, expenses, assets, and liabilities using QuickBooks. Additionally, you will maintain and reconcile multiple bank and credit card accounts, ensuring that all financial records are up-to-date and accurate. Your role will also involve preparing regular financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for review and financial planning. You will need to accurately track and manage investment portfolios and real estate holdings, collaborating with tax advisors for tax planning and preparation. It is crucial that all information is accurately logged and reported to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and filing requirements. Furthermore, you will process household payroll and benefits, ensuring appropriate tax is deducted and remitted. Providing regular reporting against budgets is also a key responsibility, along with respecting the highly confidential nature of the work.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience as a full-charge bookkeeper for high net worth individuals.
  • Fluency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • A strong understanding of personal finance and tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation is advantageous.
