About the position

The Bookstore Assistant at Normandale Community College will work within the Textbook Depot to provide exceptional customer service and support to students, staff, and faculty. This temporary, full-time position involves assisting with the receiving and shelving of books, fulfilling web orders, and providing customer service through various communication channels. Responsibilities

  • Assist with receiving and shelving books.
  • Fulfill web orders and help students place their web orders.
  • Provide customer service via email, phone, and in-person to students, staff, and faculty.
  • Maintain organized electronic records and navigate documents using Microsoft Suite Software.
  • Identify customer needs and meet quality standards for services.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking) for effective interaction with others.
