About the position

The Bookstore Operations Specialist at the University of Dubuque plays a crucial role in managing the bookstore's operations, ensuring that faculty and students have the necessary resources for their academic needs. This position involves overseeing textbook adoptions, inventory management, and providing excellent customer service to the university community.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for adoptions with faculty to order textbooks, codes, and supplies needed for class
  • Enter/review textbooks inventory, conducting a full inventory twice a year
  • Balance daily deposits
  • Assist students/parents with purchases and inquiries
  • Submit check requests for payments to vendors
  • Review monthly statements
  • Supervise Work Study staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University's Mission

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years of related experience is preferred
  • Commitment to highest quality of customer service
  • Retail experience is preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including working evenings and weekends
