About the position

The Boom Publisher Manager at Boom Learning is responsible for managing the communication and relationships with Boom's Publisher network, overseeing curriculum development, and providing guidance on best practices for product offerings. This role is crucial in enhancing Boom's content library and ensuring that educational resources meet the needs of K-12 educators, particularly in special education.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, manage, and support all communication to and from Boom's Publisher community.
  • Increase Boom's content offerings/library via Publisher input and partnerships with other curriculum offerings.
  • Provide guidance to Boom's Publishers towards new content and/or feature offerings in the Special Education and/or Related Service curricula areas.
  • Manage the implementation of new curriculum offerings and learning resources built by Boom's Publishers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent Publisher messaging and communication.
  • Recruit, support, and mentor new Boom Publishers network.
  • Work with marketing to ensure a high-quality learner experience for internal users, external users, and Boom Publishers.
  • Control expenditures related to content development.
  • Conduct editorial, technical, and functional reviews of deliverables against various learning needs and standards.
  • Communicate production schedules, progress, risks, and issues to relevant parties.
  • Help Publishers develop content to national and state-specific standards for learning delivery within agreed timeframes and quality parameters.
  • Share best practices across the organization and promote a positive company image.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of prior experience in a similar role, experience in K-12 education or EdTech is required.
  • Proficient or basic knowledge with Boom Studio.
  • Proficient in developing and executing curriculum development directly with Publishers.
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  • High level of attention to detail, including a proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Common Core Standards and State-specific standards (TEKS, SOL's, etc.).
  • A passion for K-12 education.
  • Prior Special Education instruction is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of research and statistical analysis preferred.
  • Knowledge of relational database systems used to manipulate, summarize, and produce reports (Power-BI experience a bonus).
  • Ability to multi-task and organize, prioritize, and follow multiple projects and tasks through to completion with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions and take appropriate action, resolve problems using independent judgment and decision-making processes.
