About the position

The Seasonal Sales Associate position at Araca Merchandise L.P. involves working at The Nutcracker event at the Boston Ballet, providing exceptional customer service and assisting patrons with merchandise. This role is part-time and temporary, requiring a commitment to work a minimum of four shifts per week during the event's run from November 29th to December 29th.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering exceptional customer service with each transaction/interaction
  • Handling cash and credit transactions
  • Assisting patrons with merchandise-related questions
  • Counting, restocking and folding inventory
  • Maintaining displays, merchandise arrangements, and kiosk appearance
  • Engaging patrons in a friendly and polite manner
  • Following procedures set forth by Production/Araca Management
  • Meeting and exceeding sales goals

Requirements

  • One year of retail and/or sales experience
  • A high school-level or equivalent diploma
  • The desire to be a strong team-player
  • Excellent interpersonal, creative problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and time-management skills
  • An understanding of urgency & speed in transactions, while maintaining accuracy
  • Availability to work at least four (4) shifts or 15-30 hours per week
  • The ability to lift 30lb
