About the position

The Interventional Oncology & Embolization (IO&E) Associate role at Boston Scientific is designed as a transitional position to prepare candidates for a Sales Consultant role within the Peripheral Interventions Division. The IO&E Associate will be responsible for driving sales revenue, providing clinical education, and executing new business opportunities in a designated territory. This role requires collaboration with the Regional Manager and territory consultant to enhance customer relationships and support business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong customer relationships through routine visits, product demonstrations, and educational programs.
  • Provide procedural support in a competitive environment.
  • Work seamlessly with Sales Consultants to increase their selling time.
  • Take on revenue-generating projects and goals to support account ownership.
  • Evaluate business conditions and sales trends with Sales Consultants and Regional Sales Managers.
  • Assist in developing quarterly and annual business plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Provide timely updates to the Regional Manager on ongoing business activities and competitive conditions.
  • Manage expense and promotional budgets within guidelines.
  • Maintain Sales Rep Assigned Inventory (SRAI).
  • Complete required training in a timely manner.
  • Follow compliance regulations and execute inventory counts.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and secure purchase orders.
  • Submit required administrative paperwork promptly.
  • Conduct all sales activities according to Travel & Entertainment guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant business experience.
  • BA/BS in a business discipline or equivalent experience required.
  • Documented sales success.
  • Self-starter, solution-oriented, and a team player with proven leadership qualities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to recognize contributions to the big picture.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, determined, and goal-oriented.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
