About the position

The Interventional Oncology & Embolization Consultant position at Boston Scientific is focused on driving sales and expanding the usage of innovative medical products within a defined territory. This role requires a strong clinical aptitude and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. The consultant will be responsible for developing new accounts, implementing sales strategies, and educating healthcare professionals about the company's products, all while meeting sales quotas and contributing to the overall revenue growth of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Sells products by scheduling sales calls to meet with current and potential customers to fulfill revenue and unit growth objectives assigned by the company.
  • Develops and implements sales strategies by determining relevant factors of existing and potential accounts to effectively promote the company's products.
  • Develops action plans by analyzing sales figures and reports to identify the needs of particular accounts and discuss issues with the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Determines the needs, goals, product usage, and types of cases handled by specific customers by meeting with physicians and hospital personnel.
  • Observes actual procedures in the lab and operating room to gain insight into the specific nuances of each physician and lab staff.
  • Establishes pricing packages by working with relevant personnel to address specific customer needs while satisfying company guidelines.
  • Responds to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative solutions or collaborating with other personnel.
  • Develops relationships with hospital personnel to identify key purchasing decision makers and facilitate future sales.
  • Leads clinical specialist teammates through case support and customer service across the territory.
  • Educates customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products through presentations and demonstrations.

Requirements

  • 5 plus years of experience or equivalent combination of sales and education experience.
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in medical device sales.
