About the position

The Interventional Oncology & Embolization Consultant position at Boston Scientific is focused on driving sales of medical devices within a defined territory. The role requires a strong clinical aptitude and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. The consultant will be responsible for developing new accounts, expanding product usage in existing accounts, and meeting sales quotas to increase revenue. This position offers the opportunity to sell innovative products that are crucial in diagnosing and treating cancer through minimally invasive solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule sales calls to meet with current and potential customers to fulfill revenue and unit growth objectives.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies based on product, competition, and pricing needs.
  • Analyze sales figures and reports to identify account needs and discuss issues with the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Meet with physicians and hospital personnel to determine their needs and how BSC products can address them.
  • Observe procedures in the lab and operating room to understand physician and lab staff nuances.
  • Establish pricing packages that meet customer needs while adhering to company guidelines.
  • Respond to customer needs and complaints by developing feasible solutions or collaborating with other personnel.
  • Develop relationships with hospital personnel to identify key purchasing decision makers.
  • Lead clinical specialist teammates through case support and customer service across the territory.
  • Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products through presentations and demonstrations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of sales and education experience.
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in medical device sales.
  • Strong clinical, analytical, and selling skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a large number of accounts.
