About the position

As a Varithena Territory Sales Manager at Boston Scientific, you will play a crucial role in promoting and increasing the use of Boston Scientific's products within your assigned territory. This position is field-based and requires a strong focus on business planning and sales execution. You will be responsible for developing effective business plans that align with corporate strategies and marketing initiatives, tailored specifically to your geographic area and customer context. Your ability to analyze market and customer data will be essential in supporting strategic planning and identifying key decision-makers for our products. In this role, you will conduct customer meetings, maintain current CRM records, and achieve sales goals for all promoted products. You will also be tasked with educating healthcare professionals (HCPs) on the correct use of our products, optimizing your time and efficiency across a large geographic area to maximize impact and results. Collaboration is key; you will provide market insights and feedback to the home office, work closely with sales and marketing teams, and participate in corporate-wide projects as needed. To succeed, you will need to develop a deep understanding of the market and customers in your area, as well as a broad knowledge of the competitive landscape. This position requires outstanding interpersonal and consultative skills, the ability to influence decisions, and strong business acumen. You will be expected to manage and prioritize a diverse workload while creatively addressing challenges in an organized manner. Responsibilities

  • Promote Boston Scientific's products and increase their use within the assigned territory.
  • Develop effective business plans to execute selling strategies consistent with corporate brand and marketing plans.
  • Review and analyze market/customer data to support strategic planning.
  • Identify key decision makers and conduct customer meetings within the territory.
  • Maintain current CRM records and achieve sales goals for all promoted products.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on the correct use of products.
  • Optimize time and efficiency within a large geographic area to maximize impact and results.
  • Utilize resources effectively for greatest sales impact.
  • Review and analyze data/systems/processes to identify business opportunities.
  • Comply with Boston Scientific's code of conduct and policy guidelines.
  • Provide market insights and field feedback to the home office.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing organizations to overcome challenges and maximize opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience required, with at least 2 years in a hospital/institutional sales position.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and marketing roles.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and consultative skills.
  • Excellent presentation and platform skills.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload and multi-task effectively.
  • Creative problem-solving skills in an organized manner.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products and web-based customer support tools.
