About the position

As a Varithena Territory Sales Manager at Boston Scientific, you will be responsible for promoting and increasing the use of Boston Scientific's products within your assigned territory. This role requires you to effectively sell and differentiate the value of our products to various customer groups and individual decision-makers. You will be expected to develop and execute business plans that align with corporate strategies and marketing plans, tailored specifically to your geographic area and customer context. Your ability to analyze market and customer data will be crucial in supporting strategic planning and identifying key decision-makers for product usage. In this position, you will maintain current CRM records and strive to achieve sales goals for all promoted products. Educating healthcare professionals (HCPs) on the correct use of our products is a key responsibility, as is optimizing your time and efficiency across a large geographic area to maximize impact and results. You will also be expected to utilize available resources effectively to enhance sales impact and comply with Boston Scientific's code of conduct and policy guidelines. Your role will involve internal interactions where you will provide key market insights and feedback to the home office, collaborate with the sales and marketing organization to overcome challenges, and participate in corporate-wide inter-departmental project teams. A deep understanding of the market and customers within your assigned area, as well as a broad understanding of the overall marketplace for our products, will be essential for success in this role. You will be required to complete all training requirements to build upon your disease and product knowledge and consultative selling skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective execution of Boston Scientific's strategies and tactics within assigned geographic area
  • Develop effective business plans to execute selling strategies that are consistent with corporate brand and marketing plans
  • Review and analyze market/customer data to support and execute strategic planning
  • Identify key decision makers for the use of our products and conduct customer meetings within assigned territory
  • Maintain current CRM records
  • Achieve sales goals for all promoted products
  • Foster commitment to Boston Scientific and our products
  • Educate HCPs on the correct use of our products in the disease in which they are approved
  • Optimize time and efficiency within a large geographic area to maximize impact and results
  • Utilize resources for greatest sales impact
  • Review and analyze data/systems/processes to identify and create business opportunities
  • Comply with Boston Scientific's code of conduct and policy guidelines
  • Demonstrate in words and actions the values of Boston Scientific
  • Provide key market insights and field feedback to home office
  • Collaborate and share with sales and marketing organization ideas to overcome challenges and maximize opportunities
  • Participate on corporate wide inter-departmental project teams and/or function as a team leader for regional projects or initiatives as requested

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years industry experience required with at least 2 years of demonstrated success in a hospital/institutional sales position
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA a plus
  • Experience that demonstrates the ability to accomplish the principal responsibilities outlined
  • Outstanding interpersonal consultative skills
  • Excellent presentation/platform skills
  • Ability to identify decision makers and influence decisions
  • Strong business & financial acumen and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload, multi-task and manage a diverse mix of issues, responsibilities and challenges
