The Maintenance Mechanic at Boston Whaler plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of facilities and equipment. This position involves performing general maintenance tasks that support production requirements, which includes analyzing and repairing mechanical issues related to fork trucks, air compressors, and piping systems. The role also encompasses the repair and maintenance of fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) equipment, as well as the fabrication of wood and steel items. A significant part of the job is troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including motor controls and lighting circuits, while adhering to technical manuals and code requirements. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining accurate maintenance records and completing necessary paperwork associated with maintenance activities. Additionally, the role includes addressing environmental issues and maintaining the grounds, along with janitorial responsibilities as needed. The position may require performing other duties as necessary to support the team and the overall operations of the facility.
