About the position

The BottleDrop Customer Service Associate II (CSA2) plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service at the BottleDrop Redemption Center. This position is designed for individuals who are committed to ensuring that no resource goes to waste, aligning with the mission of the Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative. The CSA2 is responsible for maintaining a friendly and professional atmosphere while assisting customers with their redemption needs. In the absence of the Supervisor, the CSA2 acts as the Person-in-Charge, ensuring that operations run smoothly and safely. This includes overseeing cash handling, training new team members, and adhering to company policies and safety regulations. The CSA2 must be well-versed in the OBRC Employee Handbook and BottleDrop Policies and Procedures, as they will be expected to track and report daily activities accurately. Effective communication is key, as the CSA2 will interact with team members, management, customers, and various internal departments. The role also requires the ability to operate and troubleshoot all Front of House equipment, ensuring that any issues are escalated appropriately. The CSA2 will perform various functions, including those of a Retail Lead and BottleDrop Team Member, as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to assist wherever necessary. In summary, the CSA2 is integral to creating a positive work environment and ensuring customer satisfaction at the BottleDrop Redemption Center. This position requires a blend of customer service skills, operational knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve the organization's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver superior customer service to all customers of BottleDrop Redemption Center.
  • Act as the Person-in-Charge in the absence of the Supervisor.
  • Support the BottleDrop Supervisor and management to ensure a safe and positive work environment.
  • Assist with cash handling tasks as needed.
  • Train and oversee BottleDrop Team Members.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain all Front of House equipment.
  • Escalate equipment repair and/or IT issues when necessary.
  • Perform the functions of a Retail Lead as needed.
  • Perform the functions of a BottleDrop Team Member as needed.
  • Track and report daily activities of the Redemption Center using proper forms and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience, preferably in the retail industry with cash handling required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate professionally at all levels with internal and external business partners.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs.
