About the position

The Customer Service Associate at BottleDrop is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a friendly and professional manner. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness of the BottleDrop Redemption Center, assisting customers with the redemption process, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The associate must be dependable and punctual, contributing to a positive customer experience while adhering to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver superior customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain the appearance of the facility inside and outside, including cleaning and organizing supplies.
• Educate customers about Oregon's Bottle Bill and the BottleDrop system.
• Assist customers with kiosks, payment slips, bags, tags, hand counts, and reverse vending machines (RVMs).
• Enforce daily limits in a professional and considerate manner.
• Complete all data entry requirements and process beverage containers accurately.
• Safely operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment and tools at the Redemption Center.
• Escalate repair issues when necessary.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent education is required.
• Customer service and/or cash handling experience is preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced retail environment is preferred.
• Strong verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
