The Bottle Filler position at AmeriGas Propane, Inc. is a vital role within the company, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient filling of propane cylinders. The Bottle Filler will be tasked with removing empty motor fuel cylinders from the flatbed truck, filling them with liquid propane according to set specifications, and then loading the filled cylinders back onto the truck. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of propane distribution to residential, commercial, and industrial customers across the United States. Safety is a top priority at AmeriGas, and the Bottle Filler must adhere to all federal and state codes and regulations, as well as the company's Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures. This includes the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensuring that all daily functions are performed in a safe manner. The position requires the ability to lift and fill bottles weighing up to 80 pounds and may involve working outdoors in various weather conditions. Additionally, the Bottle Filler will need to complete CETP training as mandated by DOT regulations, which is essential for compliance and safety in handling propane. Responsibilities

  • Remove empty motor fuel cylinders from the flatbed truck.
  • Fill the cylinders with liquid propane to set specifications.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Ability to lift and fill bottles weighing up to 80 pounds.
  • Capability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Willingness to complete CETP training as required by DOT regulations.
