About the position

The Boutique Retail Associate plays a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience at The Sanctuary Spa by providing exceptional customer service and performing various boutique duties. This position requires a friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to handle transactions accurately while maintaining the standards of excellence set by the Sanctuary.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome.
• Prepare for shift by ensuring bank is set up, logged on system, and uniform is clean and wrinkle-free.
• Speak in a positive, clear voice, listen to requests, and provide accurate information about outlet hours and merchandise.
• Sell merchandise and take special orders for items not in stock.
• Use the guest's name during transactions and verify member numbers with their membership cards.
• Handle cash, make change, and accept various forms of payment while accurately recording all sales transactions.
• Promptly answer the telephone using positive clear English communication.
• Retrieve merchandise for the shop, price as directed, and display according to standards.
• Follow proper cashiering and money handling procedures.
• Research and attempt to resolve guest dissatisfaction within established guidelines.
• Educate guests on resort activities and facilities and promote a warm, relaxed atmosphere in the boutique.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the boutique area, including dusting and folding clothes.
• Attend staff meetings and product knowledge classes as scheduled.
• Assist service providers in selling products and perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Experience in hospitality and customer service, with retail experience preferred.
• Excellent English verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Good telephone etiquette and professional communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a pleasant disposition in a high-stress work environment.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to stand continuously and perform essential job functions.

• Experience in retail sales and knowledge of spa services and products.
