About the position

The Box Office Coordinator at ASM Global is responsible for managing ticketed events, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves working closely with event promoters and the Event Management team to facilitate smooth operations at the Tucson Convention Center. The coordinator will also assist in supervising box office staff and maintaining the ticket office's financial integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Create, manage, and audit ticketed events by maintaining contact with promoters and event coordinators.
  • Process event files and ensure accurate computer requirements for multimedia video displays.
  • Assist in programming, monitoring, and updating on-site LED video boards.
  • Maintain the Convention Center web event calendar.
  • Open and close the Convention Center ticket office, auditing the safe and assigning banks and teller codes.
  • Verify ticket sales and individual ticket seller's cash and credit cards, printing nightly reports from the ticketing system.
  • Balance ticket office sales to ticket office deposits and prepare daily TCC deposits and reports.
  • Compare actual seating arrangements on the day of the event to the ticket sales map and process necessary seat relocations.
  • Prepare and distribute daily ticket office reports and provide special reports for promoters.
  • Maintain change fund for the ticket office by verifying and balancing cash daily, ordering cash, and re-depositing cash as required.
  • Process requests for tickets from promoters or management, group sales, and consignment sales.
  • Provide customer service by responding to information requests and correcting errors.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required.
  • College Degree preferred.
  • At least two years' experience handling money and other forms of payment.
  • At least two years of ticketing/Ticket Master experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.
  • Ability to coordinate and schedule staff.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving techniques.
  • Demonstrated public relations skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills required.
  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and strong computer skills.
  • Experience in computerized ticket systems preferred.
