About the position

The Box Office Manager at Mercury Chamber Orchestra is responsible for overseeing box office operations, ensuring exceptional customer relations and audience experiences. This role involves managing ticket sales, subscriptions, and group sales while maintaining high customer satisfaction. The position also supports fundraising efforts and special events, requiring strong interpersonal skills and a passion for the performing arts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of box office operations, including single tickets, subscriptions, and group sales.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction to meet and exceed ticketing goals and build patron loyalty.
  • Make daily calls to renew and acquire subscriptions and group sales.
  • Manage onsite box office for each performance.
  • Ensure SuperSubscriber donor follow-up throughout the season and assist Executive Director with scheduling donor visits.
  • Connect patrons with donor benefits and other stewardship activities.
  • Support Gala Committee with the acquisition and display of auction items.
  • Manage the tracking and in-tack of all auction items in event software.
  • Provide essential VIP support for all events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in box office operations and management, preferably within the performing arts.
  • Proficiency in ticketing systems (Spektrix CRM software preferred).
  • Proficiency and confidence in Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work weekend and evening hours.
