About the position

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations, operating a 26FT box truck and delivering furniture for well-known furniture companies.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a truck to deliver goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, including pallet jacks.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including route information and delivery confirmations.
• Follow designated routes for timely delivery while adhering to traffic laws.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle.

Requirements

• Clean Record: Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Experience as a delivery driver or in route driving is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and loading/unloading procedures.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
• Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as needed during loading/unloading processes.
• Professionalism: Strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills.
• A clean driving record with no major violations is preferred.
