About the position

The Box Truck Driver at Bimbo Bakeries USA is responsible for transporting products from sales centers to customer locations while adhering to safety regulations and company policies. This role involves driving a company-assigned truck, ensuring the secure delivery of products, and maintaining accurate documentation. The position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently while promoting the company's values and safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Drive the assigned vehicle in a safe manner, obeying all driving rules and regulations.
• Ensure loads are locked and secured at all times.
• Adhere to the company assigned route delivery schedule and operational schedules, adjusting as needed with prior approval.
• Ensure accuracy of product orders being delivered.
• Utilize order management tools to make independent ordering decisions for optimal product delivery.
• Deliver promotional displays and other company assets to customer locations as assigned.
• Pick up and retrieve company assets such as cardboard, trays, dollies, and displays.
• Safely load and unload the truck, completing DOT logs and submitting documentation on time.
• Promote the company's safety beliefs and principles, ensuring safe work practices are followed.
• Live and promote the company's beliefs, including respect for people and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Strong sales abilities and eagerness to learn more skills in training.
• Ability to work independently and analyze situations accurately.
• Ability to organize and coordinate work effectively.
• Excellent customer service abilities and account management skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 3-5 years of related experience in DSD or direct sales, with route sales experience as a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds regularly and work in all weather conditions.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in route sales is a plus.
• Demonstrated passion to achieve results and work well with others.
