About the position
The Fairview Park City Schools is seeking a Boys/Girls Middle School Track and Field Coach for the 2024-2025 school year. This position involves leading and developing the track and field program for middle school students, focusing on fostering athletic skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship among student-athletes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programs for middle school track and field athletes.
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and school staff.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices and competitions.
- Organize and supervise track and field events and competitions.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to student-athletes.
- Maintain knowledge of current coaching techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
- CPR Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Pupil Activity Supervisor Permit
- Fundamentals of Coaching Course
- Concussion Certification
- Sudden Cardiac Arrest Course
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of track and field and long-distance running
- Coaching experience preferred

- Dynamic leadership qualities
- Experience in program development for grades 7-12
